Versatility to match customers' exact system requirements is combined with a cost-effective package of high flow capability and long cycle life on CVH Series check valves, developed jointly and marketed by both Hoke and Circle Seal Controls.

With a wide variety of standard and special body materials plus options on O-ring materials or all-metal construction, these check valves can be used in applications where temperatures may range all the way from -196°C to +482°C (-320°F to +900°F) and where chemical compatibility is a consideration.

A metal-to-metal seat allows a floating O-ring to cushion and seal the valve without chatter or damage from high pressure. This enables CVH valves to be used in systems with pressures up to 6000 psi (414 bar) and to offer an exceptionally high flow capacity, giving a Cv of up to 11.6 which exceeds the range of other valves on the market.

The O-ring is washed by the system media, using a proven technology developed by Circle Seal, and the metal seat prevents any deformation or extrusion of the O-ring. This increases valve life to in excess of 100,000 cycles, substantially reducing maintenance requirements and subsequent cost of ownership.

Imperial and metric sizes are available, from 1/8in to 1in and 4mm to 25mm, in a variety of configurations including NPT, BSP and SAE and with the additional option of integral Hoke Gyrolok tube fittings.Inlet and outlet connections can be ordered to different specifications, overcoming otherwise troublesome system compatibility problems.

This further helps ensure that the significant advantages of the CVH series of check valves can be used to improve performance on the widest possible range of existing as well as new systems.

GO Regulator's two miniature pressure regulators, the LG-1 and the back pressure unit LB-1, combine a compact design and small envelope with a large choice of mounting and material options to suit the widest range of gas or liquid service applications.

Both feature low internal dead volume less than 2.7cc for the LG-1 and under 3.0cc for the LB-1 and adjustable pressure ranges including 10, 25, 50, 100, 250 and 500 psig.

Designed for surface, panel or manifold mounting, they offer the utmost in versatility to the systems designer. Operating temperature range is from -40°C to +177°C (-40°F to +350°F).

The ultra-miniature LG-1 pressure regulator employs many of the same features found in the time tested design of the CPR-1 and PR-1 series pressure regulators. Its low internal volume makes it the perfect choice for systems that require rapid purge cycles.

Standard flow coefficients are 0.025 Cv on the LG-1 and 0.2 Cv for LB-1. On both models, standard surface or panel mounted units are available with port size options of 1/8in FNPT or 1/16in FNPT.

Standard features permit using the regulators in a wide variety of services, including corrosive fluids. They can be tailored to virtually any application, while achieving as low as 0.2% accuracy during supply pressure fluctuation.

A main design advantage of the LG and LB is the bonnet being secured to the regulator with a separate adjusting assembly. This eliminates the problem found on regulators that use the bonnet as the adjusting assembly and thus allowing the bonnet to come off if the unit is adjusted all the way out.

These GO regulators are designed to allow the construction of compact and sophisticated analytical instrumentation where the optimum in pressure control is required and space is at a premium.

New VP appointed

Carl J Nasca has been appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Industrial Instrumentation Products within the CIRCOR Instrumentation and Fluid Regulation Group, with additional responsibilityå for distribution management.

"The addition of Carl Nasca," said Group VP Alan Carlsen,"is a significant step in working with our distribution partners in expanding and growing our fluid control businesses in the industrial sector."

Bolted ball valve will reduce costs

Hoke 7 Series 3-piece bolted ball valves for pipe and tube systems combine long life and reduced maintenance costs. Valve centers come out of line very quickly as virtually no axial clearance or pipe movement is needed.

Enclosed seats and seals reduce cold flow and extend seat life-cycle, while positive alignment and reduced bolt stresses assure long working life. 'True' live-loaded chevron stem seals self-adjust for leak-tightness. Size range is 1/4in to 1in and 6mm to 25mm.

Safety relief valve is thermally activated

The Circle Seal Controls PRD pressure relief valve is a true safety device offering failsafe thermally activated operation, opening for venting by its eutectic material melting consistently at a predetermined temperature. It is mainly used in compressed natural gas vehicles and hydrogen transportation applications, but is expected to have many other uses.

Resistant to mechanical stress and environmental abuse, unlike other products it will not suffer from restricted flow due to reduced temperatures at full flow and largely overcomes cold climate fears of failure due to water freezing within the valve.

Mini vaporizer gives analysis on low power

GO Regulator's MV-1 miniature vaporizer adds a 12 VDC heater and temperature controller assembly to the same technical features as the LG-1 pressure regulator (see left) to provide for the vaporization of liquid samples for analysis through a gas analyzer. It offers lab and mobile analysis where only low voltage power is available.
