Totally free of springs, bellows, packing, O-rings and lubricants in the process wetted area, the new GO DV-1 Series Diaphragm Valves offer an exceptionally long cycle life, providing in excess of 5 million cycles at 250 psig.

Boasting a remarkably low leak rate of better than 1 x 10-9 scc/sec (inboard) to ensure containment of the process media, the DV-1 valve also has a very small cavity volume of only <0.01cc, which helps keep dead volume to a minimum.

Metal-to-metal seals to atmosphere guarantee that there is no adsorption of undesirable elements into the flow stream, while Elgiloy® diaphragms ensure the utmost in corrosion resistance along with the high cycle life.

The DV-1 is available in several standard configurations, either 1/4 turn or multi-turn manual, or with a range of air actuators to give a full working pressure range from vacuum to 3,600 psig, with a burst pressure of 14,400 psig.

Various seat materials are offered for system chemical compatibility including PCTFE, Polyamide, Tefzel and PEEK.

The choice of valve body materials includes Brass, 316L Stainless Steel and Monel.

End connections are available in sizes 1/8in, 1/4in, 6mm and 8mm and in various combinations of Gyrolok, Tube Stub, NPT and BSP/ISO 7/1.

Resistant to mechanical stress and environmental abuse, the Circle Seal Controls PRD thermally activated pressure relief valve is a 'true' safety device offering failsafe venting, with its special eutectic material melting consistently at a predetermined temperature to open the valve.

This has been achieved by a design which reduces the stress on the eutectic material. Another feature is that, unlike some products, this material will not restrict flow due to the lower temperatures experienced during full flow.

The valve has been developed mainly for use in compressed natural gas vehicles and hydrogen transport applications, but also has a wide range of other potential uses. Several outlet styles are available to accommodate many different installation requirements.

A particularly robust internal design and tank mounting attitude overcomes a major concern of users in areas of extremely cold weather, as it is far less likely to experience failure previously caused by water freezing within the valve.

According to CIRCOR, as well as use with new fuel tanks, the PRD eutectic relief valve is expected to find extensive application in replacing old technology within existing fleets.

Bursting with SAF-TEE when a disc ruptures

When you have to install a burst disc in a hazardous media line, how do you prevent leakage to atmosphere if the disc ruptures? Itıs easy! Use the new Hoke SAF-TEE, which is a standard 6700 safety relief device body, but with a Gyrolok tube fitting installed over the burst disc.

This allows the media to be piped away to a safe location without affecting the operation of the burst disc, and a screen in the fitting prevents pieces of the burst disc being transported downstream.

SAF-TEE is available with burst discs in five ranges between 1400 and 6200 psig.

Specially designed CNG products

Did you know Hoke and Circle Seal have products specifically designed for the CNG Vehicle market, both for the fuelling stations and vehicles themselves? This includes, but is not limited to, 1/4-turn valves (ball valves), check valves, dispenser valves, tube fittings and fuelling manifolds for transit buses.

See the Hoke or Circle Seal Home page for the Alternative Fuels Link (www.circle-seal.com/ alternative-fuels/ index.htm).

HSE approves cylinder design

The UK Health & Safety Executive has approved Hoke 3A, 3B, 3BN and 3E cylinder designs for use with Schedule 8 of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods (Classification, Packaging and Labelling) and Use of Transportable Pressure Receptacles Regulations 1996 SI 2092 and The Carriage of Dangerous Goods (Amendment) Regulations 1999 SI 303.

Vaporizing regulator - T3 with higher output

Buying a GO HPR-2 vaporizing regulator with T3 rating gives you a product that complies with an International Standard approval for Explosive and Flammable applications - and more.

T3 means the external temperature of the unit cannot exceed 200oC. But the GO regulator is unique in achieving this with 150W of power, which means a much higher throughput of vaporized product can be obtained.
