PRODUCTS
Four CIRCOR products are generally considered the company’s most important products used in alternative fuel applications.

8100 Series PRD thermal
relief valve
.
Now certified to ECE R110 at 260 bar (3770 psig) and PRD-1 at 345 bar (5000 psig), this valve’s new design offers unexcelled safety performance, with zero leakage and a 0 to 345 bar (0-5000 psig) operating range. It does not use fusible material for sealing and provides thermal relief nominally at 104°C (219°F).

7223D RotoBall bi-directional
ball valve
.
A high performance Delta stem seal extends this valve’s operating life to between 50,000 and 100,000 cycles with leak-free performance. Maximum operating pressure is 5000 psig at 21°C (70°F), operating temperature range is from -54°C to +204°C (-65°F to +400°F) and a high flow is offered with a Cv of 3.4 in a 0.375in orifice.
70/71 DL Series ball valve.
With a life exceeding 100,000 cycles, these valves are leak-tight over their entire pressure range and also prevent static discharge for added safety. Other features include welded end fittings to prevent accidental disassembly, Delta stem seal and spring-loaded Teflon seal.
HV99-146-3 manifold.
Designed to fuel and safely de-fuel CNG vehicles with a compact envelope that minimizes tube end fittings used and greatly decreases assembly time, units can be mounted in any attitude and are CSA Approved to NGV 3.1 standard. SAE ports ensure leak-free connection and high flow gives fast filling.

CIRCOR’s Australian distributor Prochem Pipeline Products has announced that Australian Magnesium Corporation has selected and specified Hoke Gyrolok compression fittings exclusively for use during construction of the company’s A$1.13 billion magnesium processing facility.
Stanwell
Initial capacity of the plant will be 90,000 tons of magnesium per annum, which will make it the world’s largest producer of this material. Furthermore, as demand grows it is expected that capacity will be able to reach 360,000 tons per year by stage 4 expansion.
The plant is to be built at Stanwell, which is located approximately 670
kilometers north of Brisbane and close to the deepwater port of Gladstone. Ore from the company’s Kunwarra mine site 55 kilometers north of Stanwell will be processed at the plant.
Gyrolok fittings were also specified for Australian Magnesium’s A$73 million demonstration plant in Yarwun, where the company has
successfully tested the technology to be used at the new plant
Construction time for the project is expected to be two years and the selected site will comfortably accommodate all future expansion. The required workforce during construction is expected to peak at about 1000, followed by a permanent staffing level of approximately 350.
World demand continues to grow for high grade magnesium and Ford USA has contracted to purchase a minimum of 50% of magnesium produced at this facility.
Prochem is proud to be associated with this project and looks forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Australian Magnesium Corporation.
