CIRCOR & DOW
As major companies continue to strive toward maximum efficiency in operations and cost control, industry leaders like The Dow Chemical Company rely more heavily on creating significant relationships with their key suppliers. Dow’s effort to maximize their position in the chemical industry requires that Dow routinely evaluate their suppliers of critical components to determine and rank their product performance, service levels, price and availability. Where possible, Dow then forges agreements with certain select suppliers. As a result of a thorough evaluation that was conducted in

2001, Hoke was selected as Dow’s exclusive Global Agreement supplier for small valves and fittings and was awarded an exclusive long-term contract to supply Dow with their global requirements for all new construction and MRO requirements. Hoke’s focus on meeting the critical needs of customers like Dow is the driving force behind product development, quality assurance, cost effective and innovative business practices.

Hoke wins BASF supplier awards again
Hoke has been a major supplier of key BASF locations for many years and a Global Supplier Agreement for instrumentation valves and fittings signed in 2001 built on that relationship, with Hoke selling millions of dollars of product to BASF sites around the world.
Taking this another step forward, Hoke has also recently

been awarded an Umbrella Agreement for instrument tube fittings for a BASF/Sinopec joint venture in Nanjing, People’s Republic of China. Primary supply requirements for this new construction project are ongoing.
Hoke is the proud recipient of a “Global Supplier Certificate” presented by BASF at a ceremony held in Ludwigshafen, Germany in November of 2002.

CSC gets key supplier award
Circle Seal Controls has proudly received a Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems “Key Plan Preferred Supplier” Award, which recognizes CSC as an integral part of the Northrop Grumman team by

acknowledging outstanding supplier performance and dedication.
Designation as a Key Plan Preferred Supplier demonstrates Circle Seal’s superior and sustained excellence in quality of parts, on-time delivery and cost performance.
IPU Group Starting Division designs and manufactures non-electric starting solutions for some of the harshest environments around the world, and CIRCOR products helped them meet a demanding challenge in the North Sea.
The company supplies a comprehensive range of starters to the marine, offshore and mining industries, and recently developed an air starting system to start a diesel 3612 CAT engine delivering essential power to the Kristin North Sea platform off the coast of Norway for Geveke Oil & Gas.
The project involved numerous challenges and Statoil, the platform owners, determined that the whole
project should have a minimum life span of 25 years, which created significant challenges in design and sourcing of materials and external suppliers.
IPU’s solution included a complete system which was fully assembled and ready to use. All pipe work was fully welded to ASME IX and was in 2in stainless steel with instrument fittings and valves supplied by CIRCOR Instrumentation, as well as Contromatic Class 300 ball valves.
The system comprised two 500 litre air receivers designed to ASME, U stamped and hot dipped galvanized to provide the required corrosion resistance, and a stainless steel electric control panel. The compressor has a 30 bar outlet pressure and 16.5m/hr delivery to fill each receiver in less than an hour.
Did you know? CIRCOR International operate 17 manufacturing facilities, sell their products through more than 1,300 distributors, servicing more than 11,000 customers, in over 100 countries.
There are now over 20 companies operating under the CIRCOR umbrella and over 2,000 employees worldwide.
