Hoke HQC Quick Couplers combine multiple backup O-rings, ensuring leak-tight sealing in vacuum and pressurized systems, with extra robust features including positive valve stops that prevent flow checking in the body, to add up to an exciting new design that promises users high reliability at low cost.
This recently introduced innovation from CIRCOR Instrumentation also features Teflon-bonded stainless locking ‘dogs’ giving a firm grip of the assembly body and locking mechanisms which assure smooth sleeve alignment.
Hoke’s Gyrolok® nut and ferrule system provides leak-tight end connections, while guides align valves exactly to the coupling’s valve seat to prevent the chance of leakage in a disconnected mode.
Offered in 316 stainless steel or brass from 1/8 to _in (6 to 12mm) and available with keyed sleeves interchangeable with Swagelok and Parker components of the same style, these couplers meet ANSI B93.5 and ISO 7241-1/-2 requirements.

Body and plug assemblies are numbered and color-coded for positive identification. The couplers will only fit mating keyed components, giving extra operational safety by preventing accidental mixing of fluid or pressure lines. Standard O-rings are Viton on stainless steel couplers and Buna N on brass models. Poppet valves with dependable, integral O-ring seals are standard in coupler and plug-in double shutoff applications, and are installed in the body half for single end shutoff uses.

The Circle Seal L500 Series of low pressure relief valves has been developed by

CIRCOR Instrumentation with an advanced design to overcome the traditional inefficiencies that are unfortunately all too common with today’s typical low pressure devices.
Accurate to ±5% at crack pressures from 0.2 to 15 psi, where most relief valves are reported to have a greater than 50% tolerance, these units eliminate the usual problems of sticking and elastomer set commonly encountered in low pressure instrumentation.
The L500 relief valves are available as in-line or vent-to-atmosphere with a deflector cap. They are designed and manufactured to meet rigorous OEM industrial application requirements.
All models in the extensive Circle Seal range of relief/check valves, pressure regulators, shut-off valves and solenoid valves are produced to handle the most demanding applications.

Distributors meet in Netherlands
CIRCOR Instrumentation’s Distributor Conference in The Netherlands at the Hotel Schiphol A4 from March 30th and April 3rd, 2003 was a major success, with over 80 delegates from 16 countries taking part. This included most European Countries, India, South Africa and the Middle East.
An extensive training program was presented by CIRCOR Product Specialists from both the USA and the UK. Time was also made for free-ranging discussions about various aspects of CIRCOR’s business worldwide and the opportunity was taken for the company to strengthen its links with its associates.

Two acquisitions expand CIRCOR product power

CIRCOR International has acquired two businesses, Tomco Products and U.S. Para Plate, thereby further expanding the company’s product offering and services for the industrial and aerospace instrumentation markets.

TOMCO Products, Inc. Located in Painesville Twp., Ohio, Tomco provides CIRCOR with a full line of quick-couplers for general-purpose industrial applications and its more sophisticated instrumentation markets that are served globally through the Hoke and Circle Seal Controls business units.

U.S. Para Plate Corporation
High pressure valves and regulators for aerospace and military applications are developed and produced by U.S. Para Plate of Auburn, California. This extends CIRCOR’s participation in those markets through its existing Aerodyne Controls and Circle Seal Controls operations. Para Plate products and technology will allow CIRCOR to participate in advanced engineering applications such as the Airborne Laser Project, ground support and other aerospace/military projects.
CIRCOR Chairman, President and CEO, David A. Bloss, Sr., said: “We are pleased with the success of our search for acquisitions that strengthen our existing positions in high value added niche markets within the fluid control industry. The acquisition of TOMCO and U.S. Para Plate provides additional technologies and products to our current instrumentation and aerospace markets and will allow us to expand our capabilities to better serve our customer.”
